Sea2011 will take place at the modern facilities of the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC) which is locates in Kolimpari Chania. OAC is just 34 minutes driving distance from the city of Chania and approximately 15 minutes from the tourist resorts of Platanias and Agia Marina. Every years many international scientific conferences are organized in OAC.
The Orthodox Academy of Crete is a public welfare institution in canonical relationship with the Holy Metropolis of Kisamos and Selinon; it operates under the spiritual auspices of His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. The OAC is administered by a 10 member board under the presidency of His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Kissamos and Selinon Amphilochios and under the direction of its General Director Dr. Konstantinos S. Kenanidis. The basic mission of the OAC is the dialogical witness and the liturgical ministry of Orthodoxy in the modern world; therefore it is devoted to the
cultivation of the spirit of dialogue between Orthodoxy and other confessions and religions, and also between faith, science and culture.

The long conference experience of the OAC is the best guarantee for the successful organization of every demanding conference. Beyond numerous activities which have taken place in this foundation during the 42 years of its operation, over 2000 conferences have been organized and hosted here (43% local or national and 57% international).
